Note that the price doesn't include any bills. Virgin broadband is £24-£28; water is around £30, and council tax (for non-students) is £136 a month (band C). Gas and electricity could be £150 a month or higher this winter, given rising energy prices.

To comfortably afford the flat and bills you need a combined income of £55,000+, or funds to cover rent upfront.

I live in the top-floor flat of this property myself. I'm also landlord of the garden flat, which has two long-term tenants who work in law and TV. We all share the same front door and corridor, but don't actually bump into each other that often.
